Be realistic about condition
Genuinely pristine pre-war vehicles are museum rarities. Expect good, well-kept condition rather than showroom perfection, and come and see the car before you decide.
Seatbelts and small passengers
Some vintage vehicles are not fitted with seatbelts. Children are welcome when accompanied by a seated adult, but parents may prefer to travel them separately.
Consider a second car
If the thought of a mechanical problem worries you, the sensible mitigations are to book two vehicles or to choose one of the modern prestige cars.
